Heart
Formerly British Heart Journal
EDITORS: M J DAVIES
To reflect its international scope and strong traditions the British
Heart journal has reverted to the title of its forerunner Heart,
which was founded in 1909 by Sir Thomas Lewis (a pioneer of the
discipline of cardiology). Heart keeps the cardiologist in touch
with the advances in basic science and technology that have the
most impact on the successful treatment and prevention of heart
disease. It achieves this aim by selecting (with the help of its
expanded International Advisory Board and panel of reviewers) high
quality original research and case reports and also by publishing
authoritative editorials and working party recommendations. Heart
continues to recognise the advantages to readers of concise and
readable articles.
